Lucian Reich (born January 7, 1787 in Dürrheim, † December 18, 1866 in Hüfingen ) was a Baden senior teacher from Hüfingen who, in addition to the school, operated painting and especially sculpture, but also founded several companies.

Lucian Reich was the son of the traveling painter, carver and turner Matthias Reich and his wife Anastasia Buck.

He married Maria Josepha Schelble, a sister of the conductor Johann Nepomuk Schelble , on May 17, 1813 in Hüfingen . The following children were born from this marriage:

Ventures

In addition to his school service, Lucian Reich founded a gypsum mill, which he later converted into a brick factory, a cement factory, a black lime factory and a wool spinning mill. He also founded the Hüfinger drawing school for boys and girls, from which, in addition to his sons and son-in-law, other Hüfinger artists emerged.
