Lucien Guitteny
Lucien Guitteny (born June 17, 1944 ) is a former French racing driver .
Career
Lucien Guitteny began his motorsport career in 1970 in Formula France , a French monoposto junior formula . This was followed by two years in the British Formula 3 championship and two seasons in the French Formula Renault championship . After the successes in monopost sports remained modest, the Frenchman finally switched to touring and sports car racing in 1977 .
In 1978 he secured the overall ranking of the French Touring Car Championship in a Ford Capri RS . He competed seven times in the Le Mans 24-hour race between 1973 and 1983. On his debut as a works driver for the North American Racing Team and partner of Bob Grossman , he retired due to a defect in the Ferrari 365 GTB / 4 . His best placement in this endurance race was tenth overall in 1982. Guitteny drove sports car races until the mid-1990s and then retired from racing.
