Lucy Scott

Lucy Scott (born January 19, 1971 in Stradsett , Norfolk ) is a British theater and film actress .

Life

Lucy Scott trained as an actress at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London . In 1993 she stood for the first time in front of the camera for the television film Micky Love . In 1995, she played Charlotte Lucas alongside Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth in the famous BBC multi-part series Pride and Prejudice , an adaptation of Jane Austen 's novel of the same name . This was followed by other appearances in television productions, including the television series Inspector Lynley (2002) and Spooks - In the sights of MI5 (2006). She has also appeared on the theater stage several times, for example in 1999 in the stage adaptation of Austen's Emma at the Tricycle Theater in London and in Things We Do for Love at the Belgrade Theater in Coventry and in 2004 in The Dice House at the Arts Theater in London. Scott also works as a speaker for audio books. These works include adaptations by Charlotte Brontës Jane Eyre and Princess Margaret: A Life Unraveled by Tim Heald.

Scott has three sons with her husband, actor Alistair Petrie . Their first son was born in 2000; the two younger sons were born as twins in 2003. In her spare time, Scott regularly takes part in swimming events such as the Surrey County Masters Championships in 2011. In 2007, she and her husband had already swum across the English Channel to raise funds for a new maternity ward at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
