Ludger Helbig

Ludger Helbig (born January 4, 1972 in Lennestadt ) is a German chef .

Live and act

Ludger Helbig changed after his training in Oedingen (Lennestadt) for winemakers little room by Ingo Holland in Klingenberg am Main . He then moved to Steinheuer's restaurant in Bad Neuenahr, in the Hotel Königshof and in the “Am Marstall” restaurant under Christian Jürgens (both in Munich), and at the “Alpenhotel Krone” in Pfronten . Then he went back to Klingenberg, where he worked again under the spice expert Ingo Holland in the restaurant “Zum Alten Rentamt”. He then moved to the “Ringhotel Schubert” in Lauterbach (Hesse) .

In September 2007 he went to Klingenberg for the third time to take over the Michelin-starred restaurant “Zum Alten Rentamt” from Ingo Holland. He further developed his style of "modern spice cuisine" and was also awarded a Michelin star in 2009.

Since September 2013 he has been the owner of the Auberge de Temple in Johannesberg , which was awarded a Michelin star from 2014 to 2017.
