Knister , bourgeois Ludger Jochmann (* 1952 in Bottrop ) is a German children's book author . He became particularly well-known since 1992 with the children's book series Hexe Lilli .

Life

Ludger Jochmann grew up in the Ruhr area . He studied social pedagogy at the University of Essen and rhythm at the Folkwang School in Essen. After obtaining his diploma, he worked as a special education teacher . Since 1978 he has been working as a freelance author and composer. First he worked for children's theater in the Ruhr area, then also for radio and television. The first book was published in 1980, followed by sound carriers, television series, computer games and productions for the cinema. He has already written several books for adults under various pseudonyms , and in 2000 he published a novel under his real name for the first time.

Knister chose his pseudonym from his enthusiasm for rock music. He uses music as a form of expression in his performances for children and found that afterwards a “crackling” tension arose for quieter stories.

With his character Lilli the witch , he writes for various reading levels and for foreign language acquisition. He also writes picture books and uses other media to introduce children to the book.

Jochmann lives in Wesel . He is married and has three grown children. He is a passionate sailor on a flat-bottomed ship and a hobby musician.
