Ludger Schwarte

Ludger Schwarte (born December 29, 1967 in Münster ) is a German philosopher .

Life

Ludger Schwarte studied philosophy , literature and political science in Münster , Berlin and Paris from 1987 to 1993 . From 1993 to 1999 he taught at the University of Paris VIII . In 1997 he received his doctorate in philosophy from the Free University of Berlin . He then took on various teaching positions at American and French universities . From 2000 to 2006 Schwarte was a research associate in the Collaborative Research Center "Cultures of the Performative" at the Free University of Berlin ; From 2006 to 2009 Schwarte was assistant professor for "Theory of Images" at the NCCR Bildkritik / Eikones at the University of Basel . Meanwhile, Schwarte completed his habilitation in 2007 at the Free University of Berlin with a study on the philosophy of architecture. From October to December 2008 he was a fellow at the International College for Cultural Technology Research and Media Philosophy (IKKM) in Weimar . From February to June 2009 Schwarte was a senior lecturer in "Theory of the Aesthetic" at the Zurich University of the Arts . Since August 2009 Schwarte has been Professor of Philosophy at the Düsseldorf Art Academy .

In addition to his academic work, Ludger Schwarte also writes literary texts. In 1991 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt .
