Ludwig Leichtle
Ludwig Leichtle (born February 22, 1908 in Memmingen ; † August 9, 1986 there ) was a German politician of the CSU .
Life
Leichtle attended elementary and secondary school, which he left with middle school. After working as an intern, he studied at the Ohm Polytechnic in Nuremberg , graduating in 1931 with a final exam as an electrical engineer. During the Second World War he was used in Russia , Northern Norway and on the invasion front, most recently he was the head of a staff of a RAD anti-aircraft group. After the war, Leichtle was taken prisoner by the Americans, and after his release he went into his father-in-law's painting business. In 1950 he passed the master craftsman's examination and took over the business. From 1952 to 1977 he was a district master craftsman, he also held other important positions, for example as chairman of the supervisory board of the local Volksbank , on the board of directors of AOK Memmingen, on the administrative committee of the employment office and the land and property owners' association. He was a founding member of Memminger Wohnungsbau, a judge at the Bavarian State Social Court and a member of the general assembly of the Swabian Chamber of Crafts .
politics
Leichtle was district chairman of the CSU and deputy district chairman in Swabia. From 1952 to 1978 he was a member of the Memmingen city council and there for a time chairman of the CSU parliamentary group. In 1957 he moved to the Bavarian state parliament for Otto Weinkamm , which he was a member of until 1966. In 1966 he was appointed second mayor of the city of Memmingen, which he held until 1978.
