Ludwig Liegle

Ludwig Liegle (born January 29, 1941 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German professor of general and comparative education .

Career

Ludwig Liegle was born as the son of Josef Liegle (curator and professor for classical philology and numismatics in Berlin) and Gertrud Liegle, b. Weber born. In 1960 he graduated from the Parler-Gymnasium in Schwäbisch Gmünd. From 1960 to 1961 he studied German, philosophy and sociology in Freiburg and German and Slavic studies in Berlin from 1961 to 1963, and in 1963 he passed the general examination for the teaching post of the Studienrat. 1963–1965 he continued his studies in pedagogy, German and sociology in Berlin at the FU .

From 1965 to 1966 there was a research stay in Israel. He did his doctorate in 1967 at the FU Berlin under Fritz Borinski and Dieter Claessens with family and collective in the kibbutz : a study on the functions of the family in a collective educational system for Dr. phil. At the University of Tübingen, he completed his habilitation in 1972 under Andreas Flitner, cumulatively with the book publication Family and Social Change in the Soviet Union .

Ludwig Liegle has been married to Adelindis Liegle, b. Locher (teacher, then rector for 30 years until her retirement in 2005 at the Winkelwiese / Waldhäuser-Ost primary school in Tübingen). He has been retired since 2006 and lives in Tübingen .

Research projects and professional activities

From 1965 to 1966, Liegle was in Israel , supported by a grant from the Max Planck Institute for Educational Research , to learn the national language and to collect material for his dissertation on education in the kibbutz.

From 1966 to 1967 he was a research assistant at the Department of Education at the Eastern European Institute of the Free University of Berlin.

From 1967 to 1969 he worked in a research project of the Volkswagen Foundation led by Oskar Anweiler on the subject of "Education and Social Change in the Soviet Union". Why is he? Stayed in the Soviet Union for a year.

From 1969 to 1972 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Education at the Ruhr University in Bochum at the Anweiler chair.

From 1972 until his retirement in 2006 he was professor for educational science at the University of Tübingen . During this time he held many positions in academic self-government, including that of Vice President of the University of Tübingen (1988 to 1990). His areas of expertise were comparative education, general education, and early childhood education
