Ludwig Milde

Ludwig Milde ( Czech : Ludvík Milde; born April 30, 1849 in Prague , † 1913 in Bad Nauheim ) was a Czech bassoonist , composer and university teacher .

Life

Ludwig Milde studied bassoon with Vincenz Gross at the Prague Conservatory until 1867, followed by 3 years of composition and composition . After a two-year employment at the Linz Opera House, he played as a solo bassoonist in various Prague orchestras . From 1885 to 1894 he was professor of bassoon at the Prague Conservatory. He is considered to be the main representative of the Prague bassoon school. His studies of scale and chord breakdowns for bassoon and fifty concert studies for bassoon are still part of the indispensable repertoire of every bassoon student .
