Ludwig Miller
Ludwig Miller (born August 21, 1820 in Laibach ( Krain ), † April 4, 1897 in Vienna ) was an Austrian civil servant and beetle collector who made great contributions in the field of entomology .
Professionally, Miller worked as a clerk in the finance and agriculture ministries in Vienna. In addition to his job, Miller traveled a lot and, along with Ludwig Redtenbacher, was considered to be Vienna's leading beetle specialist . He published numerous articles on beetles. From 1857 to 1863 he edited the Viennese Entomological Monthly with Julius Lederer . Numerous beetles have been named after him, including Aphaobius milleri .
