Ludwig Munzinger (District Director)
Ludwig Munzinger (born May 2, 1849 in Pirmasens , † December 15, 1897 in Strasbourg in Alsace ) was a German administrative and ministerial official.
Life
Ludwig Munzinger studied law at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg , the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen . In 1868 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Würzburg . In 1869 he joined the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . In 1873 he joined the Corps Rhenania Erlangen and subsequently the Corps Franconia Erlangen. After completing his studies, he entered the administrative service of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . From 1890 to 1891 he was provisional district director of the Weißenburg district . Most recently, until his death in 1897, he was lecturer in Strasbourg to the Imperial Governor for Alsace-Lorraine .
His eldest son was the journalist and first editor of the Munzinger archive Ludwig Munzinger .
