Ludwig Vordermayer

Ludwig Vordermayer (born December 25, 1868 in Munich , † June 20, 1933 in Berlin ) was a German sculptor .

Life

Vordermayer attended the teaching facility of the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Berlin in 1888/90 . In 1890/91 he was a student with Peter Breuer , then until 1894 with Karl Begas . From 1893 Vordermayer was represented at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition .

Little is known about his life so far. He devoted himself to depicting animals. The foundry Gladenbeck in Berlin had several of his small works in their catalogs. He also created Masonic art and was probably a member of the lodge himself.

Vordermayer died in Berlin and was buried in the Berlin cemetery of the St. Matthias community.
