Ludwig von Haenlein

Johann Christian Ferdinand Ludwig "Louis" von Haenlein (born March 17, 1790 in Ansbach , † September 18, 1858 in Berlin ) was a German diplomat.

Life

As the son of the envoy Carl von Hänlein , Louis von Haenlein attended the Carolinum grammar school . On May 3, 1808, he enrolled at the University of Erlangen for law. On August 19, 1808, he was in the Corps Onoldia recipiert . 1809-1810 he studied at the Hessian Ludwig University . In 1812/13 he was the regional court secretary at the regional court in Frankfurt am Main . In 1813/14 he went to the Wars of Liberation . After that he was the Prussian legation secretary in Kassel. From January 23, 1833 to April 2, 1849 he was an associate envoy and Minister Plenipotentiary of Prussia to the Oldenburg-Mecklenburg courts and the Hanseatic cities in Hamburg. Most recently he was envoy to the Bundestag of the German Confederation . He retired as Excellency in 1856 and died at the age of 68.
