Luftkreuz Südost is an ORF crime series that was first broadcast there in autumn 1966. The producer was the Austrian Telefilm AG.

The focus of the three-part series is the head of flight operations at Vienna-Schwechat Airport , who, together with officials from Interpol , can track down criminals and arrest them.

The series was only broadcast in Austria and it was broadcast monthly. All episodes ran in the evening program and were almost 40 minutes long. Luftkreuz Südost has been available on DVD since 2010 .

The name of the commissioner is never mentioned, the viewer learns that of the flight operations chief in a scene of the first episode.

A doctor from Zurich is to be flown in for a vital operation. Since the plane is fully booked, the stewardess tries to get a passenger to give his ticket to the doctor. A jewel thief known to the police reports because he has to fear problems with the police. The Swiss surgeon was arrested promptly on arrival in Vienna and it took a long time before the misunderstanding could be cleared up.
