Luigi Durante (born December 17, 1879 in Murazzano , † October 19, 1944 in Turin ) was an Italian football player on the position of goalkeeper .

Luigi Durante was the first goalkeeper in the history of Juventus Turin , whose founders signed him in 1901. He worked as a painter , had a flashy beard and was considered an eccentric .
