Luigi Spazzapan
Luigi Spazzapan (born April 18, 1889 in Gradisca d'Isonzo ( Friuli ), Italy , † February 18, 1958 in Turin , Italy) was an Italian painter and sculptor . He is one of the most important representatives of abstract art after the Second World War .
Life
Originally, Spazzapan belonged to the artistic movement of the Futurists . He developed his art towards abstract painting . Spazzapan worked as a painter and sculptor. From 1928 he lived and worked in Turin, where he died in 1958. A year later three of his works were shown posthumously at the documenta II in Kassel .
