Luis Emilio de Souza Ferreira Huby (* 6. October 1908 in Lima , Peru ; † 29. September 2008 in La Punta , Peru), other sources lead him by the name Luis Alfonso Souza Ferreira whose birthdate is the 30th June 1904 , was a Peruvian soccer player .

Club career

The Don Lucho called De Souza Ferreira, who worked as an engineer from 1934, played in the club for Universitario de Deportes . There he was able to celebrate winning the title in the Peruvian championship with his teammates in 1929 and 1934. In addition, the runner-up championship was won in 1928, 1932 and 1933.

National team

The striker was a member of the Peruvian national soccer team and took part with it in the first soccer world championship in 1930 . There he was used for the Peruvians eliminated in the preliminary round in the only two games of his team against the national teams of Uruguay and Romania. He was able to achieve the temporary equalizing goal to 1: 1 in the game against Romania in the 75th minute (final score 3: 1 for Romania), which was also the first goal for Peru at a World Cup.
