The La Punta district is located in the constitutional province of Callao on the Pacific coast of western Peru . The district founded on October 6, 1915 has an area of ​​0.75 km². At the 2017 census, 3829 inhabitants lived in the district. In 1993 the population was 6490, in 2007 it was 4370. The district is identical to the small town of La Punta .

Geographical location

The La Punta district is located on a headland in the south of the Callao province. It includes a marina on the north coast and a bathing beach on the south coast. The district borders the Callao district in the east .
