The La Perla district is located in the constitutional province of Callao on the Pacific coast of western Peru . The district was founded on October 22, 1964 and has an area of ​​2.75 km². At the 2017 census, 61,417 people lived in the district. In 1993 the population was 59,160, in 2007 it was 61,698. The district is identical to the city of La Perla .

Geographical location

The La Perla district is located in the southeast of the Callao Province. It has an approximately 2.5 km long section on the Pacific coast and extends 2 km inland. The La Perla district is part of the Lima metropolitan area .

The La Perla district borders in the far west on the Callao district , in the north on the Bellavista district and in the east on the San Miguel district ( Lima province ).
