The Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso district is located in the constitutional province of Callao in western central Peru . The district was established on December 4, 1964. It has an area of ​​1.93 km². At the 2017 census, there were 42,240 residents in the district. In 1993 the population was 38,149, in 2007 it was 41,863. The district is identical to the 54  m high town of Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso .

Geographical location

The Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso district is located in the southeast of the Callao province. The district has a rectangular shape with a longitudinal extension in east-west direction of about 1.8 km and a width of about 950 m. The Río Rímac runs along the northern district boundary to the west. The Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso district belongs to the Lima metropolitan area and is completely urban.

The Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso district borders in the south, west and north on the Callao district and in the east on the Lima district ( Lima Province ).
