Luis Gleisner Wobbe

Luis Gleisner Wobbe (born February 22, 1936 in Iquique ) is a Chilean clergyman and auxiliary bishop emeritus in La Serena .

Life

Luis Gleisner Wobbe was ordained a priest for Opus Dei on August 11, 1963 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Rancagua and titular bishop of Mididi on July 3, 1991 . He was ordained episcopal on August 15 of the same year by the Bishop of Valparaíso , Jorge Arturo Augustin Medina Estévez ; Co- consecrators were Adolfo Rodríguez Vidal Opus Dei, Bishop of Los Ángeles , and Eladio Vicuña Aránguiz , Old Archbishop of Puerto Montt .

On July 10, 2001, he was appointed auxiliary bishop in La Serena .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on November 21, 2014.
