Luis Adan Valbuena (born November 30, 1985 in Caja Seca , Zulia , Venezuela ; † December 6, 2018 ) was a Venezuelan baseball player in Major League Baseball . He made his debut game on September 2, 2008 for the Seattle Mariners . His defense positions were those of the third baseman , the second baseman and the shortstop ("utility player") .
Valbuena died in a traffic accident in December 2018 at the age of 33.
