Luka Bogdanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Лука Богдановић ; born February 11, 1985 in Belgrade , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian basketball player . After playing in France and Spain alongside his home country , the national player was active in the German basketball league for EWE Baskets from Oldenburg in the 2010/11 season . In the 2011/12 season Bogdanović returned to the Spanish ACB league and signed with Cajasol Sevilla. He is currently under contract with the Serbian champions Partizan Belgrade .

Career

Bogdanović initially played for various clubs in his hometown. In addition to a title win in the Serbian Cup competition in 2004 with Red Star he scored in series champion KK Partizan three league titles and winning the supranational Adriatic League in 2007. He then moved abroad, and played one season for MSB of Le Mans in the French LNB Pro A . He then moved in 2008 to the then ULEB Eurocup winner Joventut from Badalona in Catalonia . In 2010 he returned to France and was signed by Chorale Basket in Roanne , who were looking for reinforcement due to injury. After seven national championship games Bogdanović left the club again in November 2010 and then signed in December 2010 for the rest of the season with the EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the German BBL. After being eliminated in the first play-off round of the German championship against Alba Berlin , Bogdanović returned to the Spanish ACB league for the 2011/12 season and signed a contract in Seville .

From 2004 to 2009 Bogdanović was active for KK Partizan, MSB and Joventut every season in the ULEB Euroleague , except for the advance into the TOP16 group stage in 2007 , he and his teams were eliminated in the first round. Then he played for his respective club in the ULEB Eurocup. In 2010 he failed in the Eurocup with Joventut in the second group phase again just against the German representative Alba Berlin, like a season earlier in the first round of the Euroleague. As a national player Bogdanović has not yet been considered for a final squad, as a junior he was named one of the best five players ( all tournament team ) of the U20 European Championship 2005 in Russia .
