Luka Vučko (born April 11, 1984 in Split ) is a Croatian football player . The central defender has been playing for Pécsi Mecsek FC in the Nemzeti Bajnokság , the top Hungarian division , since September 2012 .
Career
society
Vučko played in his youth at NK Solin , from where he moved to Hajduk Split in 2002 . In his first season he was cup winner, but he only made two appearances in the league. Therefore, he was loaned to his youth club NK Solin for one season. There he gained more match practice. After his return he was with Hajduk Split champion of the highest Croatian league, also the cup final was reached. In January 2006 he moved, after another autumn season in Split, to Russia to Saturn Ramenskoje , where he did not play a game in the Premjer League and was only used in the second team. At the beginning of the 2006/07 season he returned to Hajduk.
In January 2007 he moved to HNK Rijeka . There he played in the UI Cup and was fourth in the 2007/08 championship. In 2008 he finally turned his back on Croatia and moved to Eskişehirspor in Turkey . In 2008/09 position eleven could be reached, in the following season they finished seventh. In February 2011 Vučko moved to the Polish first division club Lechia Gdańsk , where he became a regular. After he lost his regular seat at the end of the 2011/12 season, his contract was not extended in the summer of 2012.
In early September 2012 he then signed a two-year contract with the Hungarian first division club Pécsi Mecsek FC .
National team
Vučko has played once for Croatia so far. He made his only appearance and debut on May 26, 2010 in a friendly international match against Estonia . At the game in Tallinn , he was substituted on in the 47th minute for Dejan Lovren . It ended 0-0. After that, however, it was no longer taken into account.
