Career

Luke Ferrara began his career as an ice hockey player with the Peterborough Phantoms , where he first went through the various junior teams and was awarded the U11 All-Star by the English Ice Hockey Association in 2004. In 2009, at the age of 16, he made his debut in the Phantoms men's team in the English Premier Ice Hockey League . He played there until 2015, when he became the EPIHL Playoff Champion with the team. After he had already played a game for the Cardiff Devils in the Elite Ice Hockey League in the 2012/13 season , he played for the Sheffield Steelers in the EIHL from 2014 - initially alongside the stakes in Peterborough . In 2015 and 2016 he won the regular season with the Steelers and with it the British championship. In 2017 it was only enough for third place in the main round, but the playoffs were won by a 6-5 win after extra time against the main round winner Cardiff Devils. He then moved to Coventry Blaze , where he has been playing ever since.

In the junior division, Ferrara played for Great Britain at the U18 World Championships in Division I in 2010 and 2011 and in the U20 World Championships in 2012 and 2013, also in Division I.

For the British men's team , Ferrara first took part in the 2018 World Cup when the British returned to the top division for the first time since relegation in 1994.
