The Lunan Burn is a river in the Scottish Unitary Authority Perth and Kinross . It rises in the Grampians about five kilometers north of Dunkeld at an altitude of about 425 m. The Lunan Burn is not to be confused with the Lunan Water in neighboring County Angus .

The Lunan Burn flows off in a southerly direction and, after about four kilometers, shortly after passing under the A923 with Loch of Craiglush , Loch of Lowes and Loch of Butterstone, it passes through a sequence of three small lakes located close together. Following the course of the A923 in an easterly direction, the Lunan Burn reaches the Loch of Clunie about five kilometers downstream and flows almost two kilometers further east through the Loch of Drumellie . From this it flows in a south-easterly direction, runs under the A93 and the A984 and finally flows about three kilometers west of Coupar Angus into the Isla , which in turn rises about three kilometers west into the Tay .

On its entire course, the Lunan Burn overcomes an altitude difference of about 385 m.
