Lungi is a town on the Atlantic coast in Sierra Leone with 4185 inhabitants (as of 2004). It is located in the Chiefdom Kafu Bullom , Port Loko District in the North West Province .
The place is the location of the Freetown International Airport and is separated from the capital Freetown by the Sierra Leone River . Connections to Freetown are available by ferry , helicopter , taxi and boat.
