Luten Leinhos

Luten Leinhos (born June 7, 1964 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German journalist .

Life

After graduating from the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Schule in Frankfurt in 1982 , Leinhos attended the German School of Journalism in Munich from 1984 to 1986 . In 1986/87 he worked as an editor and police reporter at Tagesspiegel and then from 1988 to 1995 he was a moderator, editor and reporter at the SFB . From 1992 he studied economics and Latin American studies at the Free University of Berlin and in 1998 wrote his diploma thesis on distribution policy in Chile .

From 1995 to 2000 he was the radio correspondent for ARD for Mexico , Central America, Venezuela , French Guyana, Guyana, Suriname and the Caribbean. From 2000 to 2004 he worked as an editor and reporter at ZDF in the main foreign policy department . In 2004 he became head of duty, editor and reporter for the ZDF's heute-journal . In 2015/16 he was a foreign and crisis reporter for the main newsroom with assignments in the ZDF studios in Cairo, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Paris, Rome, Madrid , on the Syrian-Turkish border, the US east coast and in Haiti .

From December 2016 to June 2018 he was South America correspondent and head of the ZDF studio in Rio de Janeiro . Since July 2018 he has been an editor in the main newsroom in Mainz .
