Lutz Wadehn (born February 28, 1961 in Bremerhaven ) is a former German basketball player .

Wadehn was already with the youth teams of the OSC Bremerhaven in German championships, both in the age group pupils and in the age group youth he was German runner-up. In 1981 he moved from Bremerhaven to DTV Charlottenburg. There he was next to Matthias Strauss as the second national player involved in the rise of Berlin to the national top. However, Wadehn tried to gain a foothold in the United States during his Berlin years, which rather hindered his basketball career. In 1986 he moved from Charlottenburg to Leverkusen, where he played for three years. Here he won his only title when he won the Cup in 1987 . In 1989 Wadehn moved back to Berlin. In 1991 and 1992 he reached the final of the playoff games for the German championship with Berlin, but lost both times against the Leverkusen team.

1981 Wadehn made his debut in the national team . At the European Championship in 1981 he finished tenth with the German team, in 1983 the team reached eighth place. The best placement of the 1980s was achieved by the German team at the 1985 European Championship in front of a home crowd when they reached fifth place. Two years later, the team finished sixth at the 1987 European Championship . In between, Wadehn took part in the 1986 World Cup in Spain. There, the German team was eliminated in the preliminary round, Wadehn had scored 78 points in five games.
