Lucerne city run
The Lucerne City Run is a public and street run through the city of Lucerne . It takes place every year at the end of April / beginning of May. The run leads over a circuit through the old town of Lucerne. The fun runs start on Bahnhofstrasse and finish at Kapellplatz . The young elite starts in Grendel .
The Lucerne City Run is a run with a mass sport character . Families, school classes, company teams, but also numerous individual runners in different categories start. The elite races each conclude the event. The lengths of the fun runs are between 1,510 km (families) and 7,200 km (adults).
The run was first held in 1978. The 41st edition took place on April 28, 2018. The registration record dates from 2018, in which 15,179 registrations and 14,511 finishers were counted. There has been no international elite race since 2017.
In addition to running , the Lucerne City Run also offers a broad supporting program. The event has been organized by the Lucerne City Run Association since summer 2010.
