The Lygra is a Ro-Ro ship sailing under the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis . It was built in 1978/1979 by the Ankerløkken Verft Glommen shipyard in Fredrikstad , Norway. The keel was laid on March 1st, the launch on August 1st, 1978. The ship was completed on February 1, 1979.

There is space for 12 passengers in six cabins on board.

history

The ship was put into service by the Liniera Naviera Pan Atlantica, Puerto Limón , Puerto Rico , as Centro America .

After various changes of ownership, it was sold to the Norwegian ferry company Fjord Line in 1997 and received its current name Lygra at the same time . In 2004 she was sold to Flores Holdings, but initially continued to charter for the Fjord Line. In 2008 it was sold to Global Shipping Marine, and the ship has been owned by Clear Ocean since 2011. It is ve with the Turkish company Oras Denizcilik Ticaret bereedert .

On March 1, 2018, the ship was stranded in Alang for demolition .
