Måløy is one of the administrative centers of the municipality of Kinn in the Fylke (province) Vestland ( Norway ).

Måløy is located on the eastern shore of the island Vågsøya at the southern end of Ulvesund , which runs between Vågsøya and the mainland from Vågsfjord to the northeast into the bay Sildegap south of the Stadlandet peninsula . The place has about 6100 inhabitants (2014) who live almost exclusively from fishing and fish processing .

The Måløy Bridge over the Ulvesund between Måløy and Degnepoll on the mainland is 1,224 m long and reaches a high C when the wind is blowing from a certain direction . The place is the point of contact for the Hurtigruten ships. The fishing museum at the harbor and the Kannestein, a strikingly eroded rock on the beach 10 km northwest of Måløy, are worth seeing.

From August 1st to 4th, 2008, Måløy was a stage in the Tall Ships' Race , the first stage of which led from Liverpool to Måløy; from there it went on to Bergen on August 4th .
