Mílov (German Mühlloh b. Pfraumberg ) is a locality in the city of Přimda in the Czech Republic . It is located one kilometer west of Přimda and belongs to the Okres Tachov .

geography

The place is located at the southern foot of the Přimda Mountain (848 m) below the Přimda Castle . To the west of Mílov lies the large pond Václavský rybník ( Wenceslas Pond ). In the south the Ovčí Kopec ( Sheep Mountain , 705 m) rises .

history

In the Middle Ages, not far from the old manor mill (house no. 14, house name "Harrnmüllner"), which was still referred to as Eisenhammer in the Josephine land survey , was the village of Pitlikau, of which only remains of walls are left today. Pitlikau was referred to as "pagus olim" (desert village) in Müller's regional survey from 1720.

Mühlloh was first mentioned in writing in 1540. The good location on the Mühllohbach (Václavský potok), the cascade of ponds, promoted the development of the small village. Over time, four mills were built, which gave the village the name Mühlloh. The place was parish to Pfraumberg . Until the abolition of patrimonial the village belonged to the rule of Groß Maierhöfen.

From 1850 Mühlloh formed a district of Pfraumberg in the judicial district of Pfraumberg and Pilsener Kreis. From 1868 the village belonged to the Tachau district . After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and until 1945 belonged to the Tachau district . During the Second World War, one of the last acts of Jewish history in the Tachau region took place here. Jews from Tachau and the neighboring districts were interned in a small ghetto consisting of a wooden barracks since 1941. When the Jewish citizens were deported to Theresienstadt in 1942, the area became a labor camp for men.

Around 1940 there were 27 houses in Mühlloh. Only a few of them have survived today at the exit from Přimda and the Nový Mlýn mill. In 1980 the largely deserted village lost its status as a district. The Mílov natural monument is located in the village.
