Málkov (German Molgau ) is a district of the city of Přimda (Pfraumberg) in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers south of Přimda (Pfraumberg) and belongs to the Okres Tachov (Tachau district) .

history

The first mention of "Molkhau" took place in 1436 with the Chode villages belonging to Bělá nad Radbuzou ( white brine ) . In 1596 the village was bought by Christoph Ritschel together with Třískolupy (Drißgloben) . In 1788 the place had 26 houses.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Molgau / Malkov after 1850 with the hamlet of Saint Apollonia a municipality in the judicial district Pfraumberg and Pilsener circle. From 1868 the community belonged to the Tachau district . The Czech place name Málkov was introduced in 1924. In 1930 there were 126 inhabitants in 31 houses in the village of Molgau, the community had 162 inhabitants. Molgau also included the village of Sankt Apollonia with its pilgrimage church to the southwest of the village .

Málkov (Molgau) belonged to the Kingdom of Bohemia as part of Austria-Hungary until the end of the First World War in 1918 . After the collapse of the dual monarchy, it belonged to Czechoslovakia . In the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich and until 1945 belonged to the Tachau district in the so-called Sudetenland .

In 1939 141 people lived in the community. At the end of the war there was a battle in Málkov on May 1, 1945 between the US Army and a unit of the Wehrmacht, in which eight German soldiers were killed. These were exhumed in 2013 by the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge and reburied in the war cemetery Cheb (Eger) .

After World War II in 1945, on the basis of the Beneš decrees , the German inhabitants were expelled. At the same time, the place was settled with new Czech citizens from other parts of the country.

In 1948 it was incorporated into Přimda (Pfraumberg) . In 1991 the place had seven residents. In 2001 the village consisted of 5 houses in which six people lived.

Molgau ecclesiastically belonged to Pfraumberg , but owned the St. Apollonia Church in the district of the same name.
