The Lords of Murderers , also known as Murderers , were a roguish - Pomeranian noble family.

The first proven family member Gothan Mörder , also Gotan Morder (Latin: dominus Guttan dictus Mordere ), appears between 1243 and 1276 in several documents of the Principality of Rügen and the Mecklenburg rule of Rostock . Gotan Morder's name follows in the documents after the members of the Princely House and their side lines, which indicates a high position of the family compared to the other nobles of the country. His grave slab, erected long after his death, can be found in the village church of Pütte near Pantelitz .

In Mecklenburg the family had smaller properties in Rostock , Pastow and Neuendorf. The main property was around Ahrenshagen and Pantlitz . It formed a larger contiguous area, the center of which was the Slavic ramparts of Pantlitz.

Gotan's son Johann (Henning) Mörder had properties near Stralsund as well as his own farm near the old town. It was probably located in the area of today's Henning-Mörder-Strasse . He was mayor of Stralsund at the beginning of the 16th century.

In Pomerania, to which the Principality of Rügen had belonged since 1325, the family went out in 1730.
