The Mühlbachbrücke Untersiemau is a 175 m long double-track railway overpass structure on the high-speed line Nuremberg – Erfurt between the route kilometers 97.369 and 97.544.

The girder bridge is about eight kilometers south of Coburg between Untersiemau and Obersiemau . It spans the district road CO 28 , the Siemauer Mühlbach and a farm road .

The bridge built between 2010 and 2013 was part of construction section 3110 (also called construction section Lichtenfels) of the new line, which lay between construction kilometers 9,090 and 15,144 and also included the Kulch tunnel , the Lichtenholz tunnel and five road overpasses as well as the earthworks on the free stretch .

With the extension of the line, the bridge received a noise protection wall on both sides and a slab track with a distance of 4.7 m between the tracks . The bridge superstructure consists of a chain of five single span girders . This means that individual bridge segments can be replaced at a later date and a rail extension is not necessary. The cross-sectional shape is a single-cell reinforced concrete box with inclined webs, prestressed in the longitudinal direction . In addition, the deck is prestressed in the transverse direction. The spans are uniformly 35 m, with a width of 14.3 m and a constant construction height of 2.7 m.

A few weeks after the completion of the bridge in the shell, it became known in November 2012 that the superstructure section over the old federal highway 289 had to be completely renewed. According to information from Deutsche Bahn, the construction supervision had objected to several parameters during a routine inspection, which would have raised doubts about the longevity of the bridge. The first northern bridge segment to be constructed was completely demolished at the end of 2012 and re-concreted.
