course
The Mühlenbach rises in the Mülheim district of Mintard at the Mintarder Höfe at an altitude of 40 m above sea level. NHN in a meadow south of the BAB 52 and directly west of the L 62. Its source is in the conservation area - Ruhr lowlands between Menden and Mintard near the stud Breithof -
The stream first crosses under the Mintarder Ruhrtalbrücke and then flows through meadows of the Auf'm Hofacker corridor in a north-westerly direction and east past the Niedener Hof riding facility . To the north of the riding stables it forms a tiny pond and immediately afterwards the Schmitterbach flows towards it on its left . On some maps the Mühlbach itself is also called "Schmitterbach".
The mill stream running then, accompanied by Ruhrauenweg 'through the corridor Flachsrott and feeds where a second small pond. A campsite is located east of the brook in the Staader Loch corridor . The stream now flows more and more in a northerly direction through the Hopp Morgen and Auf dem Großer Driesch corridors . At the Am Kirschbäumchen corridor, it then aligns its walking direction to the north-northwest. He then moves through a small wood to the west past the former excursion restaurant Haus Kron with a campsite. On the other side there is the 106.3 m high Au-Berg .
