Măgheruș (outdated Măgieruș ; German Maniersch , Hungarian Küküllőmagyarós ) is a village in Mureș County in Transylvania , Romania . It is part of the Nadeş municipality .
The place is also known by the German names Mängersch and Mangerß and the Hungarian Szászmagyaros and Magyaros .

The village of Măgheruş is located in a side valley of the Târnava Mică ( Kleine Kokel ) on the unpaved village road ( Drum comunal ) DC 60, about nine kilometers (3 km as the crow flies) west of the Nadeş community center ( Nadesch ).
History and population
Maniersch was first mentioned in a document in 1391. Over time, Maniersch was owned by various landlords. Until 1848 Maniersch belonged to the subordinate places of the county floor .

In 1941 the largest population - at the same time that of the Transylvanian Saxons - of the place was registered. The highest proportion of Romanians (194) and Magyars (30) was in 1966 and the Roma (34) in 1910. After the Second World War , almost all of the Transylvanian Saxons emigrated.
