Mū Kanazaki ( Japanese 金 崎 夢 生 , Kanazaki Mū / Muu ; born February 16, 1989 in Tsu , Mie Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
In 2009, Mū Kanazaki made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team . He has played a total of five international matches for Japan. Mū Kanazaki moved to 1. FC Nürnberg on January 30, 2013 after his contract with Nagoya Grampus expired. He signed a contract until June 30, 2014 with an option for two more seasons. The 23-year-old can be used in midfield in all three offensive positions. He made his Bundesliga debut on February 17, 2013 (22nd matchday) in a 2-2 draw in the home game against Hannover 96 with a substitute for Mike Frantz in the 63rd minute. At the next game at VfB Stuttgart , he was even in the starting line-up, but was replaced again at halftime. After that, he couldn't establish himself in the team. He came to two shorter assignments and was used three times in the second team to find connection. On September 2, 2013 Kanazaki finally joined the Portuguese second division club Portimonense SC . He was at Kashima Antlers for the 2014/15 season and was signed by the club a year later. With the club he won the Japanese Championship in 2016 and finished 2nd at the FIFA Club World Cup in 2016 .
