When OOO MAN Auto-Uzbekistan is a German - Uzbek joint venture of the two companies , MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG and UzAvtosanoat that on 4 September 2009 in the residence Oqsaroy in Tashkent was established by contract.

Formation and development of the company

Mediators for both sides of the joint venture were, on the one hand, President Islom Abdugʻaniyevich Karimov , Chairman Ulugbek Rozukulov , and the CEO of MAN AG, Håkan Samuelsson . The establishment of the joint venture goes back to July 2009. MAN SE then trained the employees at the plant to enable the correct assembly of the vehicles and to increase the workforce's theoretical knowledge.

On the day the contract was signed, assembly began in the Samarkand plant that SamAuto had provided . Offered are the MAN TGA , which as CKD - kit is delivered from Germany, as well as the identical MAN CLA series , of the Indian production plant of MAN Force Trucks is delivered from a CKD kit. According to the plan, 500 to 1000 units will be assembled per year of production, which will then be sold through a separate dealer network. The production capacity will later increase to more than 2000 units and utilize the plant. A modified version of the CLA will soon also roll off the assembly line as the MAN CLE series in Samarkand. The target markets are the home market of Uzbekistan and all other CIS markets . Some units, on the other hand, are also exported as used vehicles and complete vehicles from Germany to Uzbekistan by Neuhaus GmbH ( Selm ) for strategic market support . In addition to the TGA / TGM and CLA, the F2000 / M2000 and F8 models can also be found in Uzbekistan .

UzAvtosanoat is the only automobile manufacturer in Central Asia and now, after the collapse of its predecessor company, MAN has a very promising partner, with whom it is hoped to achieve a monopoly in the commercial vehicle sector in the surrounding countries. As Håkan Samuelsson became known in the late 2009 MAN - bribery affair was involved, there are also suggestions that the UzAvtosanoat is also involved, or could be affected.

In the first phase of the project , the production of the trucks is to be adapted to the local needs and standards of the various economic sectors and markets, such as the gas and oil industry and mining . Despite the financial crisis , there are promises to be made to achieve dynamic growth in these sectors. The expansion of the infrastructure should also increase the demand for automobiles and other vehicles.

The TGS series has been produced in the joint venture since August 2010 . The company itself is responsible for domestic sales, while the export of the units assembled in Uzbekistan is handled by the MAN Eurasia Logistics Center , which is also based in Tashkent.
