The MLB All-Star Game 2026 will be the 96th edition of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game between the selection teams of the American League (AL) and the National League (NL). It will take place at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia in July 2026 . It is being held on America's 250th birthday.

The 1976 All-Star Game, celebrating its 200th birthday, also took place in Philadelphia. It will be the first All-Star Game in Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies hadn't pursued the goal of hosting an All-Star Game at an earlier date since the stadium opened. They wanted to do it again on yet another milestone in the country's history. Since 2004, when Citizens Bank Park opened, the Phillies have always answered the question about an All-Star Game in Philadelphia with 2026.

Selection of the host

In April 2019, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that the event would be hosted by the Philadelphia Phillies . Manfred also added a personal statement to the announcement. He said that David Montgomery, chairman of the Phillies, has been a good friend for the past 30 years. He never asked him for a favor, but two years ago he asked him if the 2026 All-Star Game could not be held in Philadelphia.
