The MLB All-Star Game 2014 was the 85th edition of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game between the selection teams of the American League (AL) and the National League (NL). It took place on July 15, 2014 at Target Field in Minneapolis , Minnesota .
The winning American League got the home advantage at the 2014 World Series for the final of the 2014 MLB season .
Last roster place
After the roster has been announced, a second vote will take place in order to allocate the last remaining place in the roster. The winners of the All-Star Final Vote this year were two players from Chicago. For the American League Chris Sale from the Chicago White Sox and for the National League Anthony Rizzo from the Chicago Cubs .
