MLB All-Star Game

The MLB All-Star Game 2020 would have been the 91st edition of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game between the selection teams of the American League (AL) and the National League (NL). It was scheduled to take place on July 14, 2020 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States , the game was officially canceled on July 3, 2020. It is the first cancellation of the game since 1945. At the same time it was announced that the Los Angeles Dodgers would host the All-Star Game in 2022 .

This will be the second All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium. The fourth, hosted by the Dodgers.

Selection of the host

The call for tenders for the All-Star Game 2020 began in 2017. On April 11, 2018, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that the event would take place at Dodger Stadium. It will be the first time in 40 years that Dodger Stadium will host the game.
