The MLB All-Star Game 2012 was the 83rd edition of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game between the selection teams of the American League (AL) and the National League (NL). It took place on July 10, 2012 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City , Missouri .
With the victory of the NL team, this year's winner of the National League has the home advantage at the 2012 World Series at the final of the MLB season . The National League won its third straight win after having had to wait 14 years for success.
Last roster place
After the announcement of the roster, a second vote took place in order to allocate the last remaining place in the roster. The winners of the All-Star Final Vote were Yu Darvish of the Texas Rangers for the American League and David Freese of the St. Louis Cardinals .
