M is the fourth EP by the South Korean boy band Big Bang and was released on May 1, 2015. The EP was the boy band's first musical release since 2012.

background

On April 17, 2015, YG Entertainment published the first teaser image for Big Bang's comeback. A few hours later a trailer for the Made World Tour appeared . Then YGE announced the names of the singles on the EP.

At a concert G-Dragon revealed that it was very difficult for him to work on the EP because the expectations were very high. He said, "Honestly, I was in a low that wasn't normal anymore. I was worried. The group [Bigbang] has grown from the fans, so I unknowingly felt a heavy burden because it's been a long time since we were one Released album. I was worried, but it worked when we kept working. " He added, "I figured I just had to work. We met regularly and worked."

Cover design

On the EP cover there are five black stripes on a red background. In the lower half of the picture there is a black M. The five stripes represent the five band members.

Cover contest

In May, Big Bang started a cover contest. Participants should cover "Loser" or "Bae Bae". The winners received an album, were displayed on the YouTube channel Big Bang's and were able to apply to YG Entertainment. The contest started on May 18 and lasted until April 29, 2015.
