Alive is the fourth Korean EP from the South Korean boy band Big Bang . The EP was released on February 29, 2012 on the YG Entertainment label . The EP was re- released in early June 2012 under the name Still Alive .

background

At the end of January 2012, Alive was announced and the track list was published. In early February, YG Entertainment announced Big Bang's first world tour, the Alive Galaxy Tour . The album's first single, Blue , was released at the end of February and made it to one of the South Korean single charts.

The second single Bad Boy and the EP were released simultaneously on February 29, 2012. The last single Fantastic Baby was released in early March . In early June the EP was re-released under the name Still Alive .

Fuse TV put Alive on their list of the best albums of 2012 as the only non-English speaking album.

Commercial win

Alive was the first EP or the first album that could be placed on the US Billboard 200 . It sold around 4,000 in the US. In addition, five songs made it into the top 10 of Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 .

In South Korea, Alive and Still Alive both entered one of the Gaon Charts . The songs on the EP sold over 24 million copies.
