Małgorzata Gebel

Małgorzata Gebel (born November 30, 1955 in Katowice ) is a Polish actress .

Her international career began in the role of Mrs. Rubin at the side of Armin Mueller-Stahl in Agnieszka Hollands Bittere Harvest (1985). Margarethe von Trotta cast her for her Rosa Luxemburg film, Rudolf Thome for the lead role of Tina in Das Mikoskop (1988). In Leo Penn's A Judge for Berlin , Małgosia Gebel plays the contradicting witness in an East-West escape trial alongside Jutta Speidel , Heinz Hoenig , Martin Sheen and Sean Penn . Other German productions (including Nico Hofmann's Land der Fathers, Land der Sons , Oliver Hirschbiegel's Murderous Decision and Christian Wagner's Transatlantis ) followed. Małgorzata Gebel had her breakthrough with the role of Victoria Klonowska in Steven Spielberg 's Schindler's List (1993). She then continued her career in the UK (Bruce MacDonald's A Sense of Guilt ) and the US (as Dr. 'Bob' Romansky in Emergency Room ) and has worked as a journalist in Hollywood since the mid-1990s.
