action
Franz and Maria's relationship is in crisis: While she wants to get married and have children, Franz is more in favor of a loose bond. Desperate, he has an affair with the chance acquaintance Tina. Maria and Tina get along so well that they open a shop together. Maria is determined to show Franz that their relationship is worth fighting for. Aquaristic experiments and looking through the lens of a microscope (Franz's new passion) bring the two together again after the separation was almost complete.
criticism
The film service judges that the film is "an easy and entertaining staged comedy, which varies the style of Eric Rohmers and - despite unconvincing punchlines - provides material for diverse discussions about problems of partnership and love."
Awards
At the German Film Prize in 1988 the film received the prize for the best ensemble (Adriana Altaras and Vladimir Weigl).
The German Film and Media Evaluation FBW in Wiesbaden awarded the film the title valuable.
