Pink is a German film directed by Rudolf Thome . It had its world premiere on February 11, 2009 in the International Forum of the Berlinale. It opened in theaters on August 20, 2009.

action

The young, successful “punk poet” Pink writes wicked love poems, which she recites live all over Germany. She has a number of admirers at the readings. Carlo, a successful businessman, Georg, a slick publisher, and Balthazar, in particular, have high hopes of marrying them. Through the voice of God she heard that she finally had to choose one of the three, which is clearly difficult for her. Otherwise she makes her decisions with the calculator. She manages her relationships via SMS. Despite careful scrutiny, she chooses the wrong man twice, and only finds happiness with the third.

criticism

The film service believes that Rudolf Thome presents “even more radically than in his last films” the “pure surface of narration, whereby nothing is to be understood symbolically or allegorically”. The story follows "far from the lead-heavy German relationship dramas [...] fresh, young and definitely angry with the ideas of a narrator who can rely on excellent camera work and perfect music that emphasizes the added value of the scenes".
