Jochen Brunow

Jochen Brunow (* 1950 in Rendsburg ) is a German screenwriter and publicist .

Life

Brunow studied German and journalism in Berlin and completed his studies with a video film Does Brecht have right !? from. He was a film critic for Der Abend und tip and from 1980 to 1982 he and three colleagues published the film magazine Films - Old and New from the Cinema , of which a total of thirteen issues appeared. He then wrote scripts for the movies Berlin Chamissoplatz (1980) and System ohne Schatten (1983), among others - both were directed by Rudolf Thome . For television he wrote episodes for the ZDF crime series Beckmann and Markowski, as well as for Bella Block and Commissioner Lucas . He also wrote scripts for the television films Klassentreffen ( Sat.1 , 2001), The Man and the Girl (DRS, 2004) and The Collapse Sat. 1 (2010).

Brunow is one of the founders of the professional association of screenwriters, VDD, established in 1987 . He taught screenwriting at various colleges and academies. From 2007 to 2017 Brunow headed the script academy of the dffb . In addition to scripts, he writes essays for books and radio features and has also published the film and screenplay almanac Scenario at Bertz + Fischer Verlag since 2007 .
